Why buy the 2014 Acura MDX over the Audi Q7

The luxury crossover market is rife with challengers. The Acura MDX does battle every year with the Audi Q7, Infinity JX and Lexus RX. The 2014 MDX, though, still outperforms the competition in a number of key categories. The MDX’s engine is a powerful 3.5 liter, V6 but still manages to get best in class fuel economy thanks to a lighter and more aerodynamic body compared to the 2013 Acura MDX. To compare the 2014 Acura MDX to the 2014 Audi Q7, the MDX manages to gets 290 horsepower from a 3.5 liter engine whereas the Q7 only musters 240 horsepower from its 3.0 liter engine.

Features on the MDX
