2014 Acura ILX Philadelphia

This is the “baby” of the luxury car sedans with a 150 hp 2.0-liter engine with four cylinders. The racier ILX-2 has a 2.4-liter engine with 201 hp. This model features a six-speed manual transmission.

The Acura ILX sedan includes the hybrid with the 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine found in the Honda Civic Hybrid. This features the integrated motor assist with the electronic engine that delivers 111 horsepower. This model has the continuously variable transmission and gives 39/38 mpg*.

The ILX models come with the technology package that includes an eight-inch touch screen, rear view camera, navigation screen and ten-speaker sound system. The Bluetooth connection is standard along with the USB port and voice recognition.

The exterior has a sporty look and the interior features upgraded upholstery. The ILX has a 9.3 safety rating with airbags, seatbelts, and head restraints.

The Acura TSX sedan comes with a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine in the base model or a 3.5-liter V-6 engine. This sporty five-passenger sedan is a great family car delivering 280 horsepower with the V-6 engine.

The V-6 features the VTEC engine which stand for Variable Valve Timing and Electronic Lift Control. This system works best at 4500 rpm where the intake valves open deeper to enhance airflow.

The V-6 has an EPA estimate of 19/28 mpg*. Transmission is the sequential sports shift automatic. A six-speed manual transmission is optional.

The interior includes perforated leather seats with deep side bolsters for support on curves. The heated front seats have eight-way adjustments for the driver and four-way for the passenger.

The 2014 model is the fourth generation of the Acura TL mid-size sedan featuring a V-6 engine and all wheel drive. The 3.7-liter gas engine delivers 305 horsepower. The standard 3.5-liter engine with front wheel drive and Sequential SportsShift automatic paddle shifters has 280 hp.

The moonroof, Xenon headlights and leather upholstery are all standard. The navigation package with Acuralink real time weather and traffic is optional. The ELS sound system with song-by-voice commands is another option.

2014 Acura RLX Philadelphia PA

This is the ultimate luxury sedan with a unique hybrid with three motors. The hybrid model features all wheel drive using a modified version of the 3.5-liter engine found in the standard V-6 version.

The gas engine delivers 310 horsepower and it is matched with a 47-hp electric motor in the transmission housing. Two side-by-side 36-hp motors are mounted between the rear wheels. The rear-wheel motors are usually engaged when the vehicle starts. Slower cruising speeds use only the electric motors. The powerful gas engine kicks in with highway acceleration.

The Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) uses three of the six cylinders for maximum efficiency while cruising at highway speeds. The additional cylinders activate with acceleration to high speeds. EPA estimate is 28/32 mpg*.

The RLX Sport Hybrid has an optional six-speed dual clutch system for drivers who enjoy manually shifting gears. One clutch works with odd number gears while the other shifts even number gears.

The Electronic Gear Selector controls the shifting with the automatic system when the paddle shifter on the steering wheel is tapped when the car is in Drive.
