Originally, the Acura TLX was a concept car first debuted at the Detroit Auto Show. In Detroit the new TLX wowed audiences, and now it is ready to enter American markets. Acura combined the TSX and the TL into one extremely powerful and attractive package. The new Acura line-up now features a clear progression, which is the smaller and more compact Acura ILX, the roomier but still sporty mid-size TLX, and the domineering flagship RLX.

The newly designed 2015 Acura TLX will be available with two newly engineered, high performance, and high-efficiency direct-injection engines. In addition, the new TLX will be available with Precision All-Wheel Steer or Acura’s SH-AWD. The two different engine choices and transmission pairings are listed below.
- The 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with direct injection comes with an eight-gear, dual-clutch automatic transmission. The new four-cylinder engine will deliver an impressive estimated 206 horsepower, while delivering an EPA-estimated 28 MPG* combined.
- The 3.5-liter V6 engine is paired with an impressive nine-speed automatic transmission. This powerhouse engine will offer drivers the exhilarating accent provided by an estimated 290 hp. Even with the ability to weld such power, the V6 engine still manages to provide an EPA-estimated combined MPG* of 25.
The TLX’s front-wheel drive models will include Acura’s Motion-Adaptive Electronic Power Steering. This system will have the ability to change the angle of the back wheels to improve handling in turns. The SH-AWD system will only be available on Acura’s V6 TLX model. In addition, the TLX comes with Acura’s new Agile Handling Assist, which helps drivers handle the winding road ahead. Regardless of which engine or drive train package you choose, the new TLX offers an amazing instinctive driving experience.

On the outside, the new 2015 TLX definitely has a significantly more elegant appeal. In addition, it also carries more refined look, which will be integral in the TLX gaining a stronger foothold on its segment. The 2015 Acrua TLX is noticeably longer than the TSX. At the same time, the TLX is 3.8 inches shorter than its other predecessor, the TL. Most importantly, the TLX has the exact wheelbase as the larger Acura TL. This means a sportier exterior appearance without sacrificing interior space.
Acura TLX Interior
On the inside of the vehicle, both drivers and passengers will enjoy Acura’s latest features. One of these features include Acura’s new 3D-view navigation functions controlled by a seven-inch touch screen display. In addition, the new TLX will feature several smartphone-integrated apps, real-time traffic, and several other modern services mostly integrated around your smartphone. One special feature for iPhone users is the Siri Eyes Free voice command feature.
Acura TLX Safety
As a standard feature, Acura’s Jewel Eye LED headlights add a glimmering appeal to the exterior of the vehicle while also effectively illuminates the dark highways. At the same time, both radar and camera systems enable the TLX to utilize advanced safety features. These safety features can include lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, low-speed automatic braking, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control.
