Summer Camps at College Settlement have so much to offer children and have both overnight camp and day camp. They also provide a great deal of activities which are sure to appeal to any child. These camps were intended to serve all young people, especially those who are economically disadvantaged to foster personal growth.
The College Settlement Overnight Camp is for children ages 8 to 14, and offers three twelve-day sessions and two five-day sessions. The shorter sessions are ideal for children who want to give the camping program a try, while the longer sessions are geared toward campers who have participated in the program before. This program includes activities such as swimming, sports, crafts, climbing, cooking, kayaking and more.
The Day Camp Program is open to children ages 7 to 12. For about a month’s time, children will go to camp every day of the week beginning at 8:15 and ending at 4:15. They will spend the day exploring nature, taking swim lessons, playing group games and participating in other activities. Every day includes a lunch and a snack.

Camp America is located on 42 scenic acres in Montgomery County and has continued to offer a summer camp environment full of fun activities and learning experiences, ideal for any child between the ages of 2 ½ to 14. This ACA-accredited camp is family owned and operated, so you can be sure your child gets personalized attention every day.
The camp offers four, six and eight week summer day programs that include activities, trips and events. Programs are separated by age, and each one is designed to meet the needs and interests of the campers depending on their age group.
Each program incorporates age-appropriate activities such as sports, creative arts, cooking, computer programs and more.
Children ages 13 and 14 can enroll in the counselor-in-training program, allowing them to transition from camper to counselor. Camp America also offers a program for gifted children, where they participate in stimulating workshops.
Lavner Specialty Camps offer a variety of programs based on the camper’s particular interests. These programs are more focused on one specific area rather than incorporating many different areas. Lavner Camps are more ideal for campers interested in a certain sport or interest.
