Do you consider yourself a cheesesteak connoisseur? Maybe you should pop by the First Annual Philadelphia Cheesesteak Festival this year. Oh, you didn’t know this was a thing? Well now you do! And we’ve got all of the details for you right here, brought to you by Montgomeryville Acura.
The First Annual Philadelphia Cheesesteak Festival will take place on Saturday, October 24 from 11 am until 5 pm at Lincoln Financial Field. The event has so many amazing things to offer that you might not even believe it’s really happening. But it is and you can get tickets right now on the official event website.
This year’s event will feature over 40 different cheesesteak samplers from the Philadelphia area and beyond. Also featured at the festival will be everything you hope would be at a cheesesteak festival, including an eating contest, a cook-off, and the world’s largest cheesesteak, which will be built by Steve’s Prince of Steaks.
If that’s not enough to get you to the festival, there will be other great attractions as well. The event will also feature vegetarian and gluten-free options, so don’t let a special diet deter you.
The festival will feature a visit from Philadelphia baseball legend Darren Daulton along with entertainment from Stellar Mojo and Go-Go Gadget. Also at the festival will be a zip line, mechanical bull rides, carnival games, food trucks, and Cheesy, Philly’s new cheesesteak mascot presented by Allied Specialty Foods. Did we mention the corn hole tournament? You should probably get practicing right now.
And if that’s not enough, there will also be beer outlets and general vendors as well as a Go Pro cheesesteak cam.
Snag Your Tickets!
Tickets to the First Annual Philadelphia Cheesesteak Festival are now on sale on the official event website. In true Philadelphia fashion, they come in three levels: Witout, Wit, and the Works.
Witout tickets are for general admission access to the festival and cost $20 each. Wit tickets will cost you $40 but include 10 cheesesteak samples and a Philly Cheesesteak Festival T-shirt. And the full-monty Works tickets will cost you $60, but that includes 20 cheesesteak samples, a Philly Cheesesteak Festival T-shirt, a complimentary voucher for both the mechanical bull and the zip line, and access to a private dining area. You can also buy sample vouchers at the event for $2 each in a pack of five for $10.
Tickets for kiddos between the ages of 6 and 12 are $10 and are available at the door. Children aged 5 and under are free. Kids’ tickets don’t come with sample vouchers, so if you’re bringing kiddos, your best bet might be to get the Works ticket and share samples with them or purchase a pack of sample vouchers.
The First Annual Philadelphia Cheesesteak Festival has come together thanks to many local partners, including Elite Events, 102.9 Classic Rock MGK, The Fanatic 97.5, 95.7 BEN FM, and American Heritage Federal Credit Union.
