Upgraded Powertrain for 2017

The new 2017 MDX Sport Hybrid powertrain delivers an intense amount of power and accurate control, while also gaining 35 horsepower and is anticipated to receive EPA fuel economy ratings of 25/26/26* (city/highway/combined), an estimated 7-mpg city fuel economy rating increase over the (non-hybrid) MDX with SH-AWD. It’s powered by a 3.0-liter SOHC V-6 engine with Variable Cylinder Management™, a 7-speed dual clutch transmission with an integrated electric motor powering the from wheels and a Twin Motor Unit with two electric motors providing power to the rear wheels. Acura also announced the available Sport Hybrid Super Handling-All Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) powertrain technology.

The 2017 Acura MDX will also include AcuraWatch™, which makes the MDX the first luxury SUV in its class to offer advanced safety technologies as standard features. AcuraWatch™ includes automatic emergency breaking, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow and Road Departure Mitigation.

These features have been called autonomous in the industry and make the driving experience more enjoyable, controlled and safer.

2017 Acura MDX Restyled Body

The new styling of the 2017 Acura MDX is bold and will have heads turning throughout Philadelphia, Lansdale and Doylestown. The refresh is accented by a bold diamond pentagon grille that first appeared at the North American International Auto Show in January. The distinctive grille leads into a newly sculpted hood and redesigned front fascia and front fenders. The LED fog lights are new, and the Jewel Eye™ headlights are restyled, adding to the sporty feel of the redesigned MDX.

The 2017 MDX models are equipped with a long list of standard luxury and technology features. The Electric Parking Brake has an Automatic Brake Hold so that you can be safe when parking on those steep hills, and Auto High Beam headlights that help you travel through dark nights.

You’ll also receive SiriusXM Radio® 2.0 with four 2.5 amp USB charging ports. Advanced packages include Bi-Directional Keyless Remote Engine Start, two new 20-inch wheel and tire options, power folding side mirrors, and HD Traffic. Advanced options also include LED fog lights, the choice between Olive Ash Burl or Black Limba wood interior trim, a heated steering wheel, and Surround-View Camera. Advanced models can upgrade to two second-row captain’s chairs and a center console with two additional USB ports.
